ISLAND REST (ISLA EL DESCANSO)
http://islaeldescanso.com/
At El Descanso Island, the garden embodies a memorable experience, one that promises moments for walks and introspective relaxation while being surrounded with botanical and artistic diversity. The tour through the island's various, beautifully designed natural gardens located among streams, bridges, and canals, together with its outdoors sculptures by renowned contemporary Argentine artists, make up an incredible scenery for a unique experience.
Works of art, many of them made in steel by artists such as Alberto Baston Díaz, Carlos Gallardo, and Pablo Reinoso, among others, can be appreciated during the tour. The lands on which this sculpture park is located today once belonged to the Albarracín Faustino Sarmiento, Argentine historical figure and former president.
TIGRE ART MUSEUM (MAT)
www.mat.gov.ar
Located at a mansion built in Italian French style in 1909 and restored in 2006, the Tigre Art Museum (MAT) has a collection of figurative Argentine art ranging from the 19th to the 20th century. After being declared a National Historical Monument in 1979, it was re-purposed as a museum. In 1990, a group of professionals worked extensively to return it to its original splendor, turning it into an art museum.
This imposing building stands out at a privileged location in the city of Tigre, next to the Sarmiento River. Besides learning about the history of the mansions, the tour will cover a visit to part of its permanent collection, including works by artist such as Carlos Alonso, Guillermo Roux, Antonio Berni, Raúl Soldi, Leopoldo Presas, and Benito Quinquela Martín, among others.

Founded in 1876, the Argentine Hippodrome of Palermo is the first equestrian center of Buenos Aires intended for horse racing. Its architecture recreates the refinement of the Age of the Enlightenment and the current modernity. With a privileged view of the race track, we will offer a culinary experience headed by Martin Molteni. This renowned Argentine chef, specialized in local cuisine and the soul behind his restaurant Puratierra, will present a tailored menu, with typical flavors of a selection of geographical areas in Argentina.
